Welcome to the first of hopefully many cat galleries, so I can more easily share how adorable these two are with y’all.
Lewie, the toasted marshmallow with golden eyes, is my older bubba bear, and the sweetest thing in the world. His full name is The Blep Lebowski, because after he was rescued by the APL from hoarders at 2 years old, he had already lost all but 7 teeth, including all the little ones between his fangs, so he blepped (stuck his tongue out) a lot. Every time I come home, he flops and rolls for belly rubs and then jumps on the bed for head smooches. He sleeps curled up like a tiny spoon next to my chest.
Leeloo is a more recent addition to the home, another APL rescue, and my first FIV+ cat. After our previous roomie died, I waited a bit, but Lewie needed a buddy and she grabbed my heart the second I saw her (she was looking at me and purring). She is also very sweet, but with a much sneakier streak, and tries to eat everything and anything. She gets so excited by every bowl of food that it’s contagious, and she loves to lick your hand if you’re petting her, or your feet if you’re not. Or your arm. Calf. Ticklish part of the palm of your hand.
The two of them have become best friends, grooming each other, chasing each other and wrestling, and getting into various antics.
